Have you considered a Gnome Underfoot Combat/ Confound the Big Folk style giant killer? They're made to kill giants.

Sword and board would work with it too. I wouldn't recommend a bull rushing build when you're focusing against larger opponents.

Hell, you could make it a TWF build, too, and hit them with the shield as you weave in between their legs.

Now only if you could have a character with both swallow whole and the ability to spit abilities, you would have an interesting dilemma regarding your attack options: spit or swallow?

I just spat chocolate milk all over. It seems as though I have Improved Spit. It's everywhere.

Min/Max 3.x / Low level Artificer question...
« on: August 16, 2013, 11:39:33 PM »
I'm playing an Eberron campaign with Action Points and all, and was wondering if I could cast the Weapon Augmentation, Personal spell twice. First to apply the corrosive enhancement onto a masterwork crossbow. Second to apply the Earth Elemental Power (Large) to that same crossbow. Would that work?

Elusive Target
Shield Ward (paired with Improved Buckler Defense)
Toughness...

I think Casio was a Warforged Bard/Warblade with Song of the White Raven (ToB), Song of the Heart (ECS), Dragonfire Inspiration (DM), Words of Creation (BoED), and Shocking Fist (PGtE).

Why not go about it as the Martial Adepts do? Half CL in a non progressing class?

I've always had a thing for the Invisible Blade prestige class from Complete Warrior. You become able to feint in combat as a move action, then later as a free action. They nerfed it in the errata so you can only do it once per round, BUT there's a feat from Drow of the Underdark, Surprising Riposte, that allows for a full attack with Sneak Attack damage.

ALSO, iirc, feinting is normally limited to melee but with the feat you can do it at a range, just not on the first attack.

After which you get options like Master Thrower, also from Complete Warrior, because throwing multiple daggers is awesome. Bloodstorm Blade is even better, because enchanting a ton of weapon isn't awesome.

Finally, if it comes down to the Ring of Invisibility, save a bit more and grab a Ring of Blinking. 7 rounds of sneak attack is better.

Damn, I forgot about the 3/4 BAB progression. It's one of those that doesn't make any sense. Like Warforged Juggernaut...

Yes, you can qualify for maneuvers(feats/PrCs) with items. Also, you can remove the item and still use it, because maneuvers count for their own prerequisites.

Well, you could always take Martial Study for that extra maneuver needed. Also, I'm not exactly sure why you decided to go Warblade 3, when 4 would net you an Initiator level of 3 at level 5 with Crusader, and you can take level 2 maneuvers.

I'd go Warblade 4/ Crusader 1/ Warblade 2/ Crusader 1/ Warblade 2/ Eternal Blade 10

Consider swapping out the last 2 levels of Warblade for the first 2 levels of Bloodclaw Master if you don't mind the weapon restriction.

Well, yeah, but it's an optimized build that includes many ideas of what can be done with the Ninja class alone, wrapped into one.

As a Ninja, you could choose to do some of them, not all. From my experience, most DMs wouldn't let this at their table.

@Jackinthegreen: Concerning the build, I don't agree with the liberal interpretation of Daring Outlaw.
Nor do I think that 2 attacks at the end of a charge is worthy of  a feat.
Although he gets INT to damage, I'm not that impressed with the feats being used to key Monk stuff off Int, either.
Crescent Knife is cheesy. The whole build is cheesy. At that point, why not just go Dark Moon Disciple Monk?

I was thinking something more practical.

@SleepyHollow: As for the Handbook, I had already taken a look at it. Nice job. Where the Versatile feat is written?

@Arz: Finally, why would I drop Invisible Fist? I can be Invisible for as long as I have Ki... That's half the trick.

I'd think that Mage Slayer, Blind Fight, Pierce Magical Concealment, and maybe Pierce Magical Protection, too.

Min/Max 3.x / I know CV Ninjas suck. But I want to make them work...
« on: July 02, 2012, 10:24:25 PM »
Firstly, here's the very little I have so far:

Ascetic Stalker allows you to stack Ninja with Monk.
Invisible Fist Monk gives you a 1 every 3 rounds invisibility.
Enduring Ki allows you to use an additional use of your daily Ki to have it last for 2 rounds.
Darkstalker means alternative methods of finding you are thwarted.
Spectral Skirmisher gives you an effective +5 to Move Silently and AoOs against people trying to attack you.
Evasive Reflexes let's you give anyone the slip if they target the right square.

So, anyone else have anything to add?
Let's take this zero and make it into a hero.

Make him a drunken brawler, with a few levels of Monk, and Drunken Master. Throw in Poison Healer, and grab a bottle of whiskey. More CON focusing.

Black Blood Cultist.

Anyone remember Casio? The Warforged with that feat that allows you to make your unarmed strike/slam attacks deal electricity damage?

Add this.

And add Bard (Or better Heartfire Fanner) to your Warbalde or Crusader based Jade Phoenix Mage with Song of the White Raven, Dragonfire Insipration (using a electricity based dragon).

Heaven forbid that a class other than a spellcaster gets decent, reliable control options. xD

Why's Reflex important to you? Is it a prerequisite thing?

Hahah, I like the re-flavoring. Very nice.

Don't forget Superior Unarmed Strike.
